Why A Retirement Sherpa?

Sherpa meaning: A member of a Tibetan people living on the high southern slopes of the Himalayas in eastern Nepal and known for providing support for foreign trekkers and mountain climbers.  It is reported that more climbers die while descending Mt. Everest than die during the ascent!  There is a correlation here to retirement planning.

The statistical data indicates, and based on my experience, far too many people do not take the time to understand the complexities of personal planning as it relates to retirement.   And most advisors are not well versed in the myriad of issues involved in the planning process.  I see my role as identifying the issues needing to be addressed, although I do not provide everything needed for a successful outcome.  To use a sports metaphor, in football the quarterback directs the entire offense, yet requires the services of others to achieve the desired result.

I can help guide you up the mountain, your working years, and more importantly, help make certain your planning will get you safely down the mountain, your retirement years.  Don't risk finding yourself living with a poor outcome, inadequate income, for what could be a quarter of your lifetime.
